We cannot repair the inexpensive (read "cheap") models of clippers sold by the "big box" stores for consumer use. They are usually made in China and are intended to be "disposable." They were not designed to be serviced and no repair parts are available for them.

The repair charge for barber and small animal clippers is $15.00 plus parts. Repairs to large animal clippers is $25.00 plus parts. In all cases we will completely disassemble the clipper, replace all worn or broken parts, clean out hair and carbon brush dust, clean the commutator contacts (when applicable), lubricate the bearings and drive components, reassemble and test the clipper.
Andis blade drive
If you are a professional pet groomer using Andis clippers, remember to change the blade drive at regular intervals. Andis recommends that a full-time groomer should replace the blade drive every 30 days. When the blade drive starts to wear out the clipper will not cut properly and you may assume that the blade is dull when the problem is actually a weak blade drive. We stock replacement blade drives and suggest that you keep several on hand at all times. We will be happy to teach you how to change them yourself. It only takes a minute or two and a small, phillips head screwdriver.
